Bagasse Tableware can be used in the microwave, but oven use has limits. The real heat limit is not decided by the bagasse fiber alone; it is decided by the process. Bagasse Bowl Microwave Time: 4 Practical Rules

Food must be inside the container. Do not put an empty bagasse plate or bowl into the microwave. Once the fiber is dehydrated, it becomes lighter and more brittle, and long dry heating may cause carbonization.
